National Forest Grant Awarded for City and Guilds Diploma Level 3 in Basketry

We applied to the National Forest for a WEG grant to support Jam’s professional development and were successful in our application. The course at Westhope College, which was postponed for obvious reasons in October 2020, will now start this year in October. Expect to see the products of her labours at The Bothy.

Course dates 2021

Our 2021 course programme is up and running and filling up fast. The number of places will be limited to 5 participants, to allow for 2m social distancing - and also just in case the rule of 6 comes back. Some courses which demand more space than available at The Bothy will be run at our site near Coton in The Elms.

The upbeat news of the Covid vaccines make us hopeful that the courses will run as planned this year.We are starting the programme after Easter in the hope that many of us will be vaccinated and therefore in a much safer situation.

Coronavirus Update – Re-opening 3rd December 2020

Coronavirus ClosureDue to the present Government national lock down, we have had to close The Bothy. Depending on updates to the current restrictions, we hope to reopen on Thursday 3rd December. We can still take orders and enquiries via the Contact Us page or by leaving a phone message.
