Forest trees

Our forestry team plant thousands of tree whips in the National Forest each year. Why not take advantage of our buying power and let us supply you with your forestry trees and hedging plants.

All the little trees are supplied bare rooted from December to March and are typically 40 - 60cm in height. All forestry and hedging species are available and sourced in line with National Forest guidelines for native trees.

  • Take care that roots are not allowed to dry out. Keep the young trees in planting bags when out planting and heel in any whips that are not to be planted immediately to protect against drought and frost.
  • Once planted, young whips will require protection from browsing animals
  • National Forest guidelines for sourcing native trees; a minimum of 80% sourced from seed stock of UK origin and with provenance of having been grown in British nurseries.
