Charcoal from Bradgate Park
Much that we barbeque is cooked over charcoal that has been imported – check out the source label! Here′s one way to reduce your carbon footprint and save the rainforests at the same time.
We stock charcoal made from timber felled in Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, removed from woodlands in the normal course of forestry management. No tree was needlessly harmed during the making of this product!
It takes 24 hours to convert 5 tonnes of timber into 1 tonne of charcoal. This is achieved by a process of slow burning in a reduced oxygen atmosphere.
This easy to light, local and renewable fuel is really worth a go. Tried and tested by satisfied customers.
