As part of our forestry work, we are sometimes required to clear new woodland rides, resulting in the recovery of some weathered roots and stumps. First appreciated by Victorian gardeners in the building of grottos, stumperies and ferneries, people continue to find beauty in their sculptural forms as garden features.

With the current drive to make our gardens more wildlife friendly, these features also offer an excellent potential for ′beetle banks′ or a home for a wide range of important garden invertebrates.

This product is available for collection from The Bothy or can be delivered locally for a small charge.
