Shingles and Cladding
Our Wood-Mizer sawmill has an attachment that can produce shingles and feather edge boards.
Traditional cedar shingles are good for roofing and feather edge boards are good for cladding or fencing projects.

Cladding boards can also be produced as single or double-sided waney edged i.e. with the bark on one or both sides of the board. We produce them in cedar or larch.

The timber is naturally durable and can be used outdoors without treatment, but as a natural material timber can shrink, crack, warp or change colour with age.
Freshly milled cedar is a rich honeyed colour which matures to a subtle silver-grey.
